The Swells
MANCHESTER, UK–North West five-piece, The Swells, are the vehicle for songwriter Matt Grayson. The band include members of The Boo Radleys and Jane Weaver’s band, and they released their debut album Pets, in May 2022 to wide acclaim and getting 8/10 from Americana UK. The Swells cite their influences ‘from Teenage Fanclub, Tom Petty and Pavement to Prince and Brian Eno’ and their record repletes with simplistic Big Staresque melodies, awash with the noise and ambience you would find with Sonic Youth or Spaceman 3.
