Red Moon Joe write and play songs of remarkable quality that show versatility in the writing rarely found in the loose category that is Americana. If you’ve ever fancied Son Volt jamming with Merle Haggard and Guy Clark, your dreams have come true.’ (Justin Currie) The band have been around since 1985 and continue to write and play their own brand of swampy country-rock. Not for them the smooth layered offerings of the Eagles, the band have more in common with classic cow-punk legends The Old 97s. Their last two albums were critically acclaimed, their most recent (Time and Life) being awarded a very rare 9/10 review from Americana-UK.
